The term intermodal transport implies that various modes of transport are seamlessly connected to one another (e.g. goods packed in containers are transferred from a truck to a train to a barge). Given that the emissions produced as a result of carriage by train or barge are significantly lower per kilometre than those of a truck, intermodal transport can help significantly reduce emissions. On medium to long-haul trips (over 500 km) reductions of at least 40% can be achieved.
In applying intermodal transport, Van den Bosch Transporten intends to restrict its emissions of harmful substances. By providing customers with a total concept comprising our own fleet, years of experience and dedicated planners, we can also vouch for timely delivery, anywhere in Europe.
