What is air pollution? Minimize

In contrast to the climate problem, air pollution is immediately apparent. The air pollution caused by road transport consists largely of emissions of NOx, SO2 and fine dust. NOx and SO2 are both gaseous, while fine dust is a solid. However, all three emissions are harmful to human health.

Emissions of NOx in Europe are particularly problematic in the southern Netherlands and northern Italy. This is clearly evident from the red spots in the diagram of Europe above.
